The company LIGNA, s.r.o. followed on from the twelve-year successful operation of the company PAPs – Papierník Ján, which was founded by Ján Papiernik Sr. in 1990. LIGNA, s.r.o. was established due to growing customer demands, initially as a company ensuring the sale of PAPs products, but later (in 2002) to simplify management, the entire production was transferred under the trade name LIGNA, s.r.o.
LIGNA, s.r.o. is a manufacturing company that processes wood from cutting logs to assembling wooden packaging products, mainly pallets. The company processes 30 thousand m3 of logs annually and produces 600,000 pallets.
The company creates year-round jobs for qualified and less qualified workers, employing 50 employees from the surrounding area. Since 2007, conditions have been created for the employment of women, their share in the total number of employees is 40%.
